Identifying Connectors
Different cable types require specific connectors to interface with networking hardware. Knowing the visual differences and use-cases is critical for the exam.
EIA/TIA 568 Standards
Inside a UTP network cable, four pairs of wires are twisted together. Two primary standards dictate which color wire goes to which pin: T568A and T568B.
