How To Run Virtual Windows XP

Download Windows XP Free

Microsoft provides Windows XP in Virtual Image format to allow developers to test their projects. You can download this image and import it into VirtualBox.

1) Download Windows XP (Free)

1.1) Browse https://www.modern.ie/en-us/virtualization-tools#downloads 

Wait for download to complete.

2) Unzip the file

You will get an ova format file.

3) Import into VirtualBox

3.1) Go to Menu Bar. Select File/Import Appliance…

3.2) Click Choose button and find the ova file in Step 2.

Follow the wizards. In most of the cases, you can just accept the default settings.

Wait until the import process completed.

4) Run

Select the Virtual Win XP and click Start button.
